RE KAMATA is a meticulously renovated 180-year-old traditional Japanese house, located in the tranquil western region of Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture. The wooden interior, rich in nostalgic charm, features a Shigaraki-ware semi-open-air bath and a modern gas fireplace. The Japanese garden reveals the quiet beauty of each season, evoking the timeless spirit of traditional Japan. I am Mori, the owner of “RE KAMATA,” I grew up in this house until the age of 12. After retiring from a long career as a pilot, I decided to return home in 2020. I renovated my family home to preserve its original charm, and today, I welcome guests to experience traditional Japanese architecture and the way of life from bygone days.

Shoshazan Engyo-ji Temple
Engyō-ji Temple is a historic Buddhist temple located on Mount Shosha in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture. Founded in 966 by the monk Shoku Shonin, it is part of the Tendai sect and is known for its peaceful atmosphere, ancient wooden halls, and beautiful mountain setting.
